The 2024/2025 Taiwan Scholarship program, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), is now open to applicants with the Ukrainian nationality. The deadline for applications is February 29th, 2024.
The program encourages outstanding Ukrainian students to pursue a wide range of degree programs in Taiwan, improving their future career prospects while also promoting knowledge, understanding and friendship between Taiwan and Ukraine, and fostering academic and educational links.
The scholarship provides an opportunity for Ukraine nationals to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at universities in Taiwan. The award encompasses payment of tuition fees up to a certain level as well as a monthly living allowance of NT$15,000 for undergraduates and NT$20,000 for graduate students.
Taiwan Scholarship recipients can choose to study degree programs taught in English or in Mandarin. Many Taiwanese universities offer a large number of English-taught courses for international students.
- The deadline for submitting the following documents to the Education Division of Taipei Representative Office in Poland is February 29th, 2024.
- One copy of the completed Taiwan Scholarship application form with a hand-written signature.
- One signed declaration of consent to the processing of personal data.
- One photocopy of passport photo page.
- One photocopy of the highest degree diploma.
- An official academic transcript and a GPA certificate.
- One copy of the application confirmation from Taiwan Universities/Colleges. (e.g., photocopies of application fee remittance, the receipt of application submission from universities/colleges, email confirmation).
- Two recommendation letters, signed and sealed in envelopes from university/college Rectors or administrators, professors or supervisors. Only original signed recommendation letters will be accepted. Photocopies and email submissions of recommendation letters will not be considered.
- A copy of a language proficiency certificate:
(1) For applicants seeking to undertake a program not completely taught in English: A copy of the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) test score report or certificate of Level 3 or above.
(2) Candidates who wish to study exclusively in English must provide official TOEFL results at the specified level or another certificate of English language proficiency recognized by the government, or a diploma from a previous degree taught in English. English-taught academic programs in Taiwan must be accredited by the MOE, otherwise the candidate must present an official letter issued by the university in question (not by the department or section) confirming that the program of study is conducted entirely in English.
All application documents (including reference letters) must be mailed together to the address below and postmarked no later than February 29, 2024:

Please note that the scholarship application and the application for admission to the university are two separate processes. Applicants are required to independently submit documents for admission to the selected universities /colleges. Candidates who are awarded a scholarship are not automatically accepted by the universities. The dates for submitting documents for scholarship and admission for the degree programs may vary.
