The 2025 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Programme, sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), is open to applications from students with Ukrainian nationality.
The program encourages outstanding Ukrainian students to study Chinese language in Taiwan, improving both their language skills and cultural knowledge, while also promoting understanding and friendship between Taiwan and Ukraine, and fostering international academic and educational links.
The scholarship provides a unique opportunity for Ukrainian nationals to participate in intensive language courses in accredited Mandarin centers at Taiwanese universities and colleges. The awarded scholarship amounts to NT$25,000 each month, and can be used to cover the costs of tuition, accommodation and other living fees.
Huayu Enrichment Scholarship recipients can select a Chinese Language Center from an extensive list of institutions in Taiwan that offer Mandarin language courses to foreign students.
※The deadline for submitting applications to the Education Division office in Poland is February 28, 2025.
The following documents are to be submitted to the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Poland:
- One copy of the completed Huayu Enrichment Scholarship application form with a hand-written signature.
- Signed declaration of consent to the processing of personal data.
- One photocopy of passport photo page.
- Copy of highest education level diploma.
- An official complete grade transcript, and grade average certificate.
- A copy confirming application to a language center (eg. an admission letter, a photocopy of application fee remittance, an email confirmation of application).
- One recommendation letter with a handwritten signature, written by a professor or supervisor from the university where the candidate is studying or has studied. Only original letters will be accepted; photocopies and email submissions of recommendation letters will not be considered.
- Other documents, such as a copy of the TOCFL exam certificate. Candidates with the TOCFL (Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language) certificate will be considered with priority.

Provide enough time to ensure that the application will arrive by February 28, 2025.
Please note that the scholarship application and the application for admission to the to the language center are two separate processes. Applicants are required to independently submit documents for admission to the selected language center. Candidates who are awarded a scholarship are not automatically registered at the language center. The dates for submitting documents for scholarship and admission for the course may vary.
