Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship for Slovak and Romanian students
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has set up the Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship program with a view to encouraging Taiwanese and European universities to establish or expand academic cooperation via school-to-school partnerships, and attract students from Europe to apply to come to Taiwan to study Mandarin and engage in exchanges with Taiwanese students.
The Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship program is open to all students who wish to apply for a scholarship to study in Taiwan regardless of student status (degree or non-degree) or university department, and disciplines are not limited to the Mandarin studies or sinology.
The program allows European students to pursue further studies in Taiwan in their original fields of interest and expertise, which will enable them to contribute to the cooperation between Taiwanese and European industries in the future. This will allow Taiwan to make a positive addition to people-to-people exchanges between Taiwan and Europe, in line with the European Union’s Europe-Asia Connectivity Strategy.
- Timeline: The timelines for the Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship vary in accordance with participating universities. Usually, applications will open in February (for Spring and Summer entry) or in May (for September entry).
- The universities in Taiwan will help the Taiwan-Europe Connectivity Scholarship recipients to apply for a visa to enter Taiwan.
