The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) International Internship Pilot Program (IIPP) is designed to attract global talent by offering international students the opportunity to experience Taiwan's strengths in science and technology. The program aims to enhance Taiwan's human resources in key scientific research fields and foster long-term academic and professional relationships.
Key Features of the IIPP:
Eligibility: Open to undergraduate, master's, and PhD students of foreign nationality who are currently enrolled in overseas colleges or universities. Applicants' fields of study should align with Taiwan's core strategic industries, including humanities and social sciences.
Internship Duration: Internships can range from 28 to 90 days. Participants may commence their internships at any time between June 2025 and December 2025.
Subsidy: Interns will receive a daily stipend of NT$1,000 (approximately USD 30) for the duration of their internship.
Host Institutions: Internships are conducted at academic and research institutions in Taiwan, where interns will engage in research activities pertinent to their fields of study.
