Taiwan Embassy personnel with doctors and nurses of Taiwan Medical Mission visited Mafutseni, to treat, help and bring free medical services to locals.
The mission helped over 430 people with completely free treatment, medication and public health education while bogogo nabomkhulu receiving walking sticks from Taiwan. One of the residents Mr. Sizwe Dlamini was diagnosed with cancer by “Cancer Screening Truck” and treated by doctors right away. Mr. Dlamini appreciated the help, saying that he would never found out if Taiwan Doctors didn’t visit them.
Amongst many other diseases, Dr Tu Chi-Cheng said the most common diseases in Mafutseni were chronic diseases. Dr Tu said no matter the type of diseases they come across, Taiwan is committed to offer continuous assistance to EmaSwati.
Residents who were helped ranged from the ages of 2 to 90 years, and Taiwan will continue to help wherever needed!
