On June 22, in the cold Saturday morning, the Taiwan Embassy and Medical Mission visited Motshane. As many as 702 locals received free medical services and much-needed medication, with care and compassion from our team.
The outreach included free medical consultations, ultrasound check-ups, medication dispensation, as well as health and nutrition education aimed at enhancing daily health care awareness and balanced diets in the community. Joining us were the amazing teams from the "Taiwan-Africa Vegetable Initiative" and the "Women Business Start-Up Microfinance Revolving Fund," promoting nutrition awareness and low-interest loans project.
Hon. MP Wilton Nkambule expressed heartfelt gratitude for Taiwan's friendship and kind assistance, highlighting the challenges rural communities face in accessing adequate medical care.
