| Requirements as above, plus: 1. Those who hold passports issued by any of the five countries on the left and have one of the valid visas(or Permanent Resident Permits) of the United States, Canada, Japan, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Schengen countries, are eligible for visa-exempt entry. 2. The applicant(former Thai workers in Taiwan excluded) shall visit the Immigration Bureau of the Republic of China(Taiwan)’s website (http://www.immigration.gov.tw), register personal profile online to obtain in advance a visa-exempt entry permit which the applicant has to present to the airline’s check-in counter upon departure for Taiwan, and to immigration counter upon arrival in Taiwan. * This Visa-Exempt Entry online application service will commence on March 1, 2009. |
