Representative of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand Mr. Chang Chun-Fu, along with Mr. Doong Sy-Chi, Deputy Representative, and their team witnessed the Marriage Equality Day event, which marked the first day of LGBTQIAN+ couple marriage registration at Siam Paragon, Bangkok on Jan.23.
They were joined by ambassadors, diplomatic corps, and foreign consuls to Thailand from countries such as the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Ireland, Finland, and Sweden to celebrate this historic moment together.

He said, "As like-minded partners, Taiwan and Thailand are committed to upholding universal values such as freedom, equality, and human dignity. Taiwan commends Thailand's progress and leadership in promoting marriage equality, and strongly hopes that based on these shared values, bilateral cooperation will be strengthened further in economics, trade, and human rights, jointly bringing hope and progress to the region.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of China (Taiwan) congratulated Thailand on its significant achievement in promoting marriage equality.
