The Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Thailand is pleased to announce the 2025 academic year application period for the “Ministry of Education's Taiwan Scholarship (MOE)” and “Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES)”. These scholarships aim to encourage outstanding students from Thailand to pursue bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees, or to study Mandarin Chinese in Taiwan. Applications will be accepted from February 1 to March 31, 2025.
Taiwan Scholarship (MOE Scholarship) Overview:
- Scholarships for Degree Programs in Taiwan:
- Quota: 20 recipients.
- Grant:
- Tuition and Miscellaneous Fees: The Ministry of Education will cover up to NTD40,000 per semester. Any amount exceeding NTD40,000 must be paid by the recipient or covered by one of the 38 universities listed in the attachment.

- Monthly Stipend: NTD15,000 for undergraduate students and NTD20,000 for master's and doctoral students.
- Grant period: Up to four years for bachelor's, two years for master's, and four years for doctoral programs.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Thai citizens with a high school diploma or higher.
- Academic Performance: A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Language Proficiency:
- For Mandarin-taught programs: TOCFL Level 3 or higher.
- For English-taught programs: TOEFL ITP 550 (CBT 213, IBT 79), IELTS 6.0, or TOEIC 750 or above.

Huayu Enrichment Scholarship Overview:
- Scholarships for Mandarin Chinese Language Study in Taiwan:
- Quota: Maximum 300 months
- Grant: A monthly stipend of NTD28,000.
- Duration of Scholarship: 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, or 12 months.
- Funding Period: September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationality: Thai citizens aged 18 or above with a high school diploma or higher.
- Academic Performance:
- For high school and bachelor's degree applicants: GPA of 3.0 or above.
- For master's and doctoral degree applicants: GPA of 3.2 or above.
- Language Proficiency:
- For a study duration of 3 to 6 months: TOCFL Level 2 or TOEIC 550 (or equivalent English tests).
- For a study duration of 9 to 12 months: TOCFL Level 3.
