Taini Hsu’s debut solo photography exhibition “Sensational Mind/Sensacinal Mente” received an enthusiastic reception April 7 at the Colourworks Photo Art Space in Wilmington, DE. The exhibition runs through May 26.
Visitors were inspired and touched by Taini Hsu’s depiction of picturesque cityscapes and colorful blackstrap weaving of the Mayan heritage in Antiqua Guatemala. Those photos, taken in 2015, not only amazed but also touched viewer’s emotions through Hsu’s sensitive images of the colonial atmosphere.
“Antiqua is not rich, people there are rather poor, but the city is so colorful and historically rich that you cannot imagine,” said Taini Hsu at the reception.
The seventeen selections of Hsu’s images display varied imagination and sensation, all found in the UNESCO World Heritage city in Guatemala. “Antiqua” and “Lovers” brought the most attention. All proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Limitless Horizons Ixil, Guatemal.
This exhibition is being sponsored primarily by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Taiwan Academy of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) invites audiences to immerse themselves in Taini Hsu’s unique art works.
