TECRO welcomes the establishment of the “US-Taiwan Bilateral Trade Agreement Coalition”

TECRO welcomes the US-Taiwan Bilateral Trade Agreement Coalition which was launched on September 15, 2020 jointly by the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei and the U.S.-Taiwan Business Council. TECRO is eager to work with the Coalition to push forward such agreement.
Representative Bi-khim Hsiao stated, “business support has been indispensable for any trade agreement, which is especially true for democracies such as the United States and Taiwan. Following the supportive joint statement by AmCham Taipei and the Chinese National Association of Industry & Commerce, Taiwan urging the signing of a US-Taiwan bilateral trade agreement, we are glad to see other U.S. business representatives come forward to establish a coalition like this. We hope such supportive voices from the business communities would encourage the U.S. government to start the negotiation of a bilateral trade agreement with Taiwan.”
