Requirements:
• With Green Card / Permanent Residency
• College/University graduated and/or above
• English fluency (speaking, reading and writing); good grammar and attention to detail and nuance
• Traditional Chinese proficiency helpful; experience in or knowledge about Taiwan a plus
• Experience in creating the WORD and POWER POINT documents in both English and Traditional Chinese
• 1-2 years professional experience writing and editing for press, PR, marketing, or another field
• Major in English, Journalism, International Relations, Business, or related fields preferred
• Illinois Driving License is a plus
Affiliated to the Press Division and reporting to designated supervisors, the Staff Assistant for this position has excellent English communication skills, especially in writing and editing, and supports mainly the press and public diplomacy areas of the Chicago-based office for Taiwan serving 7 Midwest states. This is a non-exempt, 40-hour/week position for a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident.
