DG Bill Huang was honored to participate in Nebraska Dinner of 58th Statehood Day

Nebraska celebrated its 158th Statehood Day by hosting a dinner at the State Capitol on March 1st. Director General Bill Huang and Team Taiwan in Denver were honored to participate.
Before the event, DG Huang met with Governor Jim Pillen. They discussed trade and investment cooperation. DG Huang also introduced Governor Pillen to the Kavalan Whisky produced in I-Lan, Taiwan.
During the dinner, DG Huang also had pleasant conversations with US Senators Pete Ricketts, Deb Fischer, Congressmen Adrian Smith, Mike Flood, Lt. Governor Joe Kelly, Secretary of State Bob Evnen, Attorney General Mike Hilgers, Auditor Mike Foley, Consul General of Japan in Chicago Jun Yanagi and several state senators.
“The best thing about Nebraska is people.” said former Governor Dave Heineman in his remarks. Nebraskans are composed and nice. It’s the charm of the Cornhusker State! Yes, we can’t agree anymore!
