Hon. CNMI Governor Arnold I. Palacios led an official delegation, including the leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives of CNMI, to visit Taiwan from Oct. 30 to Nov. 4, 2023. During the visit, the delegation joined a luncheon hosted by Louis M. Huang, an official of the MOFA North American Affairs Department, and, in the following days, met with a few officials including Akiku·Haisum, Secretariat Secretary-General of the Council of Indigenous Peoples, Clark Lin, Deputy Director-General of the MOTC Civil Aeronautics Administration, Bin-li Chung, Chairman of Taiwan Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Services Inc., Dr. Hei-Jen Jou, Vice President of Taiwan Adventist Hospital, Jeff Chung, General Manager of Overseas Investment & Development Corp., Tzi-bin Lee, General Manager of Hun Hon Enterprise Co., Ltd. and Felix Yen, President of the American State Offices Association (ASOA). The delegation also attended the opening ceremony of the "Taipei International Travel Fair” and went to look at the exhibition kiosks of the Guam Taiwan Office, China Airlines and Lion Travel Service.
