TECO in Honolulu Director General Richard Lin, on behalf of R.O.C (Taiwan) government, donated 500,000 U.S. dollars to the Hawaii Community Foundation.

A check presentation for a donation of $500,000 was made by Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Honolulu Director General Richard Lin to Hawaii Community Foundation CEO & President Micah Kane, on August 22, 2023, to aid the Maui Strong Fund with its recovery effort in the aftermath of Maui wildfires. Lieutenant Governor Sylvia Luke and representatives from Governor Josh Green’s office, State Senate, State House and Taiwanese American community leaders are there to witness this warmly ceremony.
