The POST Houston’s first season of Art Club features the work of 13 renowned new media artists and designers from Taiwan, Iceland, the Netherlands, South Korea, the United States, Mexico, Cuba and Russia, brings their well-known exhibits from sound and media festivals around the world to Houston.
Aka Chang is a new media artist from Taiwan recognized for his exploration of light, materiality, and spatial experiences. Chang began his career as a VJ (or video jockey), combining his background in fashion and motion graphics to create stunning visual backdrops for musicians.
Laser is one of Chang’s best media, he masters to accurately control multiple laser mapping shows, and projects laser light onto different facades and materials, or combine images and 3D projections to create beautiful visual effects. The work "RING: KOSMOLOGIA" exhibited in the United States is an optical feature of the collision of light and acrylic, and it is also an outstanding work of artists who have long explored the symbiosis of light and form. This Program is sponsored by the “T-content plan” of the Ministry of Culture, Taiwan.
