China Airlines Launches Historic Taipei Direct Flight to Phoenix!

Ambassador Alexander Yui, along with TECO-LA Director General Amino Chi were delighted to join Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and China Airlines Chairman George Kao and many guests in celebrating China Airlines’ Taipei–Phoenix inaugural flight ceremony at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and a celebratory reception on December 3rd.
In his remarks, Ambassador Yui highlighted that the Taipei-Phoenix route is a historic milestone: it is not only the first direct flight between Taiwan and Arizona but also the first Asian route welcomed by Sky Harbor International Airport! This new service showcases the deepening interconnection between Taiwan and the U.S. in all aspects, and continue to drive collaboration and innovation, especially in high-tech fields like AI.
This route will be operated by the A350-900 aircraft, with flights every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. It marks a new chapter in Taiwan-U.S. cooperation across technology, business, and cultural exchanges.
