When the term "public diplomacy" steps out of the classroom, it becomes the critical cornerstone for Taiwan to secure support and dignity on the global stage.
TECO in Los Angeles was deeply honored to host students and faculty from the world-renowned USC Center on Public Diplomacy (CPD) and the USC U.S. - China Institute. Led by CPD Managing Director Glenn Osaki, these experts in global communication and Asia-Pacific affairs engaged in a profound dialogue bridging theory and practice with Director General Jason Ma and our team.
Engaging with a delegation that possesses academic, diplomatic, and industry expertise, the TECO-LA team shared Taiwan’s frontline, battle-tested perspectives. Both sides discussed a wide range of topics, from diplomatic communication strategies and geopolitical challenges to the closely intertwined security and economic landscapes of Europe and the Indo-Pacific.
In today's complex international environment, clearly telling Taiwan's story and ensuring the world understands our democratic resilience and indispensable value is our most important task. We look forward to deepening our cooperation with leading academic institutions like USC to continuously refine our public diplomacy capabilities. TECO-LA is committed to serving as a vital hub for U.S.-Taiwan think tank and academic exchanges, working together to inject new momentum into our partnership and the "Taiwan Brand."
