Celebrating Double Ten Day in Southern California!

2026/10/15
On October 3, the Taiwan Benevolent Association of California (TBAC) hosted the 115th National Day Flag-Raising Ceremony and Parade at Barnes Park in Monterey Park. Director General Jason Ma and his wife, along with colleagues from TECO in Los Angeles, joined more than 500 community members and friends from diverse backgrounds to celebrate Taiwan's National Day!
Despite temperatures soaring above 100°F, the celebration was filled with excitement and energy! National flags waved proudly as 30 community organizations participated in a colorful parade!
This year marked the 48th consecutive National Day celebration organized by TBAC. A special highlight was the new "Beauty of Taiwan" Photography and Short Video Contest, encouraging younger generations to discover Taiwan's beauty and share its culture through creative storytelling!

The celebration concluded with everyone cutting a birthday cake and singing "Happy Birthday" to celebrate the Republic of China's 115th birthday!

A big thank-you to TBAC President Olivia Liao and her dedicated team for organizing such a wonderful event, and to everyone who braved the heat to make this celebration so memorable!
