Advocating for global change is never an easy path; it requires immense passion and is accompanied by various challenges. Blazing a trail and forging ahead amidst these obstacles is the most moving and courageous trait of Taiwanese-American youth.
Recently, Edward Huang, President of Youth Network, and Iris Liao, Director of Education, visited our office to share with Director General Jason Ma their ongoing efforts in LCOY Taiwan 2026, youth climate and sustainability education. They also discussed their upcoming plans to attend the COY21 youth exchange under the UNFCCC framework in Türkiye.
During the meeting, DG Ma and TECO colleagues listened attentively as President Huang shared their journey and tangible achievements—starting from Irvine, California, returning to campuses in Taiwan to promote their ideals, and stepping onto the global stage. Hearing about the various challenges and milestones they faced while driving these projects forward, we deeply felt the boundless passion, action-oriented spirit, and sense of responsibility of the younger Taiwanese-American generation.
No matter what kind of public advocacy one pursues, every challenge is an opportunity to contribute to the world and a nutrient that broadens one's life perspective. TECO-LA proudly supports every young person who steps out of their comfort zone to champion public causes. We wish Edward and his team a safe, smooth, and highly rewarding journey to Türkiye this November!
