On February 12, the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Miami and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Miami hosted a lively Lantern Festival celebration at the Tower Club in Fort Lauderdale! Local political and business leaders, along with Taiwanese expatriate business leaders, gathered to celebrate the Year of the Snake. Director General Chou expressed gratitude to Mayor Trantalis for his strong support of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce meeting last year, and mentioned the "Economic and Trade Cooperation Memorandum" signed between Taiwan and Florida in January, looking forward to more collaboration in areas such as technology and manufacturing.
The event, themed "Taiwan Night Market (Taiwan Yes!)," featured fun interactions with the Electric-Techno Santaizi (the Third Prince, a revered deity in Taiwanese folk religion) and delicious Taiwanese street food, including bubble tea, braised pork rice, Taiwanese Salt Crispy Chicken, and more. Guests also enjoyed tastings of Kavalan Whiskey and Kinmen Kaoliang. Mayor Trantalis reflected on his 2018 visit to Kaohsiung and looked forward to more future cooperation. A big thank you to everyone who made this evening unforgettable!
