Director General Scott Lai was invited to attend the "Taiwan Day" celebration held at the Nevada State Legislature on May 2, 2025. He witnessed Lieutenant Governor and Senate President Stavros Anthony, Senate Majority Deputy Whip Skip Daly, and Republican Congressman Ken Gray jointly announce the establishment of the "Nevada-Taiwan Friendship Caucus" and read out the Legislature's pro-Taiwan statement, which praised Taiwan's democratic achievements and international contributions, supported Taiwan's international participation and safeguarding of Taiwan's sovereignty, and continued cooperation to create prosperity and promote shared values.
The "Taiwan Day" event venue was hung with the national flags of our country and the United States, and displayed friendship badges with the Taiwan and American flags provided by TECO, baseball caps, national conditions booklets and other related promotional materials, as well as Taiwanese-style snacks such as pineapple cakes and bubble milk tea.
