The 2025 Silicon Valley International Invention Festival was held at the Santa Clara Convention Center from August 8th to 10th. Led by Chang Chia-Chu, Chairman of the Taiwan Invention Association, eight companies exhibited over 30 projects, winning 14 gold, 9 silver, and 1 bronze medals, as well as numerous conference and international special awards, showcasing Taiwan's innovative R&D capabilities.
The Silicon Valley International Invention Festival is one of the world's three largest invention fairs and a key stage for international innovative companies. Since its relocation to Silicon Valley in 2018, this year's event attracted over 400 inventions from 25 countries, attracting international attention. Our delegation's exhibits generated significant inquiries. Deputy Director General John Chu of TECO and Director Ellen Chen of the Economic Division also visited our booth, expressing their welcome and respect for the delegation and congratulating them on their outstanding achievements.
This year, our delegation's inventions covered a wide range of fields, including healthcare, AI, and biotechnology. The outstanding performance of the delegation members not only won the judges' favor in terms of technological innovation, but also served as international recognition of Taiwan's R&D capabilities. Many of the award-winning works are already commercially viable and have the opportunity to negotiate cooperation with international companies, further expand international market opportunities, and establish a more distinctive image for Taiwanese companies in the global technology and creative industries.
