For information on ARC renewal, please contact the National Immigration Agency. You will also need to authenticate your passport copy. Please check with your local National Immigration Office in Taiwan for details. If you have lost your ARC card and is authorising a representative in Taiwan to apply for a replacement on your behalf, you will also need to have your Lost Property Declaration or Police Report notarised by a Queensland or Northern Territory Notary Public and then have it authenticated by our office.

Application Requirements:
Authentication requirements for Letter of Attorney for ARC Renewal (for applicants in Queensland and Northern Territory):
- Applicant (and representative, if any) must complete and sign the Application Form for Authentication. The original hardcopy is required.
- Complete the Letter of Attorney and leave the signature blank as our officer will need to witness your signature.
(Postal applicant: Your completed Letter of Attorney and and valid passport copy must be witnessed and notarised by a Queensland or Northern Territory Notary Public.)
- The applicant's original valid passport and 1 photocopy notarised by a Queensland or Northern Territory Notary Public.
(Postal applicant: Please enclose a notarised photocopy of your passports instead of posting the original passport.)
- The applicant’s valid original Alien Residence Certificate (ARC) card and 1 photocopy.
(Postal applicant: Please enclose a JP certified photocopy of your ARC card instead of posting the original.)
- Collection:
- Collect in person;
- Provide a prepaid self-addressed Registered Post or Express Post envelope for the return of the authenticated court documents.
- Arrange for your own courier to collect it from our front desk during our business hours 9:30am ~ 2:00pm, Mon~Fri.
- Authentication Fee:
- AU$22.00 per document for 5 business days standard application; or
- AU$33.00 per document for 1 business day urgent application.
- Fee explained: Letter of Attorney, passport copy, Lost Property Declaration or Police Report are all considered as separate documents.
Payment Method:
- Lodge in person: cash only.
- Postal applications: Money Order or Bank Cheque payable to the "Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, Brisbane". *Personal cheques will not be accepted.
