To authenticate Queensland /Northern Territory Driver Licence (Open Licence for car), please refer to the following requirements and submit your application in person.
Requirements:
- Applicant must complete and sign the Application Form for Authentication (original).
- Valid Original Queensland or Northern Territory Driver Licence (Open Licence for car) .
- Valid passport and 1 photocopy
- If your name on your passport differs from that of your Queensland/Northern Territory driver licence, please provide the original Change of Name Certificate and 1 photocopy.
- Collection:
- Applications within Australia: Pick up in person or provide a prepaid self-addressed Registered Post or Express Post return envelope for the return of the authenticated documents.
- Authentication Fee:
- AU$22 per document for 5 business days standard application; or
- AU$33 per document for 1 business day expedited application.
Payment Method:
- Lodge in person: cash only.
Please note:
If you wish to drive or rent cars in Taiwan, an authenticated translation in Traditional Chinese language (NOT Simplified Chinese language) of your valid Queensland/Northern Territory Driver Licence is also required. NAATI translation or your own translation are both acceptable. You may like to use the translation template (PDF/ODT). Authentication application for Chinese translation must be lodged in person. The authentication fee for Chinese Translated document is also AU$22 per document.
