The Cultural Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Sydney was established in February 2020. It is the Ministry of Culture's first overseas office in the Oceania region, which serves to further deepen Taiwan's cultural exchanges and collaborations with Australia and New Zealand.
Goals and Missions
To collaborate with the cultural organisations and institutions in Australia and New Zealand in promoting cultural exchange activities and establishing dialogues with the international community;
To develop Taiwan’s exchange with Australia as well as New Zealand in the areas of the First Nations’ arts and culture, film and drama, visual art, performing art, literature and crafts;
To introduce Taiwan’s art groups, creative professionals and creative works to Australia as well as New Zealand, including in the forms of exhibitions, performances, talks, publishing and screenings.
