Ambassador Douglas Yu-Tien Hsu, Representative of the TECO in Australia, along with Director General David Cheng-Wei Wu and Mrs. Vicki Wu, were pleased to attend the 2nd Anniversary Gala Dinner and Changeover Celebration of the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women, Sydney Chapter, Australia.
Leaders from Taiwanese communities and NSW Parliament are present to witness the memorable moment, including Chairman of Taiwan Friendship Group, Anthony Roberts MP, along with Jacqui Munro MLC, Scott Farlow MLC, Tim James MP, Clr. Michelle Chuang and Clr. Barbara Ward.
Amb. Hsu recognized Phoebe, the founding President of the Sydney chapter, for her significant contributions over the past two years in promoting Taiwan and Australia relationship. He extended his congratulations to the new President, Ching-Mei, hoping her leadership will further elevate the organization’s achievements. Additionally, Amb. Hsu conveyed Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung’s recognition of the Federation’s efforts in promoting Taiwan’s positive image.
NSW Parliamentary dignitaries praised the shared qualities of resilience, diligence, and entrepreneurship in the Taiwanese and Australian communities. They emphasized their long-standing friendship with Phoebe and Ching-Mei, and commended both chairpersons as role models of female entrepreneurs as well as key figures driving the development of the Taiwanese community.
