Director General David Cheng-Wei Wu and Mrs. Wu attended the Christmas Reception at the invitation of Mayor Trenton Brown, City of Ryde on 14 December 2024.
In addition to Taiwanese community leaders residing in Ryde, the event was also attended by Jordan Lane MP, Councilors, municipal team, former mayors, the President of the Macquarie Park Business Chamber, media representatives, and others.
In his speech, Mayor Brown expressed gratitude to the guests for their support of municipal development and thanked the citizens for their trust and confidence. In addition to continuing to strengthen municipal work, Mayor Brown hoped to bring more international business opportunities to Ryde, citing the memorandum of understanding signed in July this year between the Hsinchu Science Park Management Bureau and the Macquarie Park Innovation District as a great example.
