The Taipei Liaison Office in Cape Town which represents the Republic of China (Taiwan) government. It was a Consulate-General of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Cape Town. The diplomatic ties between the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Republic of South Africa were terminated on the 1st of January 1998, after negotiations, the Consulate-General renamed to the current name.
The office is in charge of the consular affairs of Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Northern Cape of South Africa and Namibia.
The abovementioned consular affairs serve to promote economic, trade, investment, cultural, educatinal, tourism and protect the interests of the ROC national. We also provide passport, visa and document legalization services.
The current Director-General is Ms Lily Chen. She assumed office since the 10th of May, 2023.
