Speaker You Si-kun’s led delegation to visit to the Czech Republic with Successful Result

Speaker You Si-kun of the Legislative Yuan, invited by President Miloš Vystrčil of the Senate of the Czech Republic, visited Prague on July 18th 2022. Lawmakers Kung Wen-chi, Jang Chyi-lu, Huang Shih-chieh, and Wan Mei-Ling, who serves as the head of bilateral parliamentary amity association, joined the delegation.
Speaker You met with President Vystrčil, Madam Speaker Markéta Pekarová Adamová of the Chamber of Deputies, Mayor Zdeněk Hřib of the City of Prauge, and leadership of both chambers of the Parliment. Speaker You was the first Speaker of the Legislative Yuan to have delivered speech at the Senate plenary meeting.
With President Vystrčil, the delegation visted the cemetery of former President Václav Havel, the City of Telč, and paid tribute to former Senate Speaker Jaroslav Kubera. A trip was also made to start-up companies. The lawmakers exchanged views with Taiwanese and Czech students. The delegation’s visit saw fruitful results.
