The "2025 Taiwan Higher Education Fair," organized by the Federation of Malaysian Alumni Associations in Taiwan (FAATUM), will feature 65 Taiwanese universities and colleges. The event will take place in Yong Peng, Klang, Kuala Lumpur, Sungai Petani, Kota Kinabalu, and Miri from April 21 to May 9.
Representative Phoebe Yeh was invited to attend its Launching Ceremony on February 19, stating that the Fair in Malaysia is one of Taiwan's largest overseas educational events. Representatives from renowned Taiwanese universities will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with Malaysian parents and students to provide updated information of studying in Taiwan.
Representative Yeh mentioned that the number of international students in Taiwan has been increasing in recent years, reaching more than 123,000 in 2024, the highest number in the past five years. Taiwan's strong global competitiveness in higher education is reflected in its quality education, reasonable tuition fees, academic freedom, friendly people, excellent healthcare, and a safe, convenient living environment. Also with its cultural similarities to Malaysia, Taiwan is an ideal destination for Malaysian students to study abroad.
Representative Yeh also affirmed the efforts and contributions of the FAATUM and other alumni associations in promoting education in Taiwan. TECO in Malaysia will work with local Chinese educational institutions and Taiwan alumni associations to support students in achieving dreams, developing talents, and enhancing Taiwan-Malaysia relations through talent cultivation and exchange.
