Guidelines of Applying for the Marriage Interview

Requirements:

1. Completed & signed General visa application form (Please access the website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw fill up the application form online, print out and sign.)
2. Both applicant passport and Identity Card (original & photocopy)
3. Both applicant 2-inches size photo (latest 6 month)
4. Personal info of a newly married couple
5. Pakistani and R.O.C. national autobiography (describe the family background, academic, experience in life, both applicants’ story from first meet until marriage, has the Pakistani been stay in Taiwan legal or illegal before)[Pakistani should write by himself and signed.]
6. The R.O.C. national should submit the single status certificate and latest three-month household registration certificate. (Certified by District Court, Taiwan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Taiwan) Original & Photocopy
7. Pakistani’s single status certificate or marriage status proof. (Kindly apply from the relevant authority 3 months before marriage)
8. Marriage Certificate from Pakistan. (If Pakistani had divorced record, kindly prepare the relevant proof.)
9. Pakistani’s Police Character Certificate
10. Pakistani’s latest 3-month health certificate (authenticated by an R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission)
11. Pakistani’s Family Registration Certificate
12. Documents of No.7 to No.9 should be translated to English or Chinese Version.
13. Pakistan documents of No.7 to No.11 is required to authenticate by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Pakistan, High Commission of Pakistan in Malaysia and Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malaysia.

Marriage interview, documents authentication and visa application procedures as follows:

1. Both applicant should prepare all the documents in the requirements list, kindly email to our office to make an appointment for marriage interview.
2. Both applicant should prepare complete documents and arrived punctually for marriage interview and complete the visa payment at counter 1. Our office will inform the result of interview after 3 working days.
3. After marriage interview is approved, kindly authenticate the documents of 7 to no.9, declaration of Chinese name and health certificate at counter 3. Register the marriage at Household Registration Office in Taiwan with marriage certificate and declaration of Chinese name that has been authenticated.
4. After the registration of marriage in Taiwan, the Pakistani shall submit the documents that have been authenticated to our office for resident visa application (the latest 3-month household registration certificate after marriage in Taiwan, the Pakistan marriage certificate, Pakistan Police Character Certificate, health certificate and proof of injecting IPV/OPV within 1 year).
5. Our office will telegram the resident visa application to Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) within 2 working days. The R.O.C. national is required to proceed to Bureau of Consular Affairs (BOCA) for guarantee procedure (approximate 5 working days).

If there is a discrepancy between English website and the Chinese website, the Chinese version shall govern.
