I. Qualification:
1. Applicant must be high school graduate with an above average grade every semester.
2. Applicant must be able to speak and understand foreign language such as English or Chinese depending on the chosen program. (See Requirement # 11)
3. The program can only be applied individually. NO group filing will be accepted nor acknowledged.
II. Requirements:
1. Completed online application form available through https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw.
2. Two copies of 1.5”x 2” photo with white background taken within three months.
3. Passport should be valid for at least six months.
4. Birth Certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO).
5. Marriage Certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO)(if female applicant is married).
6. NBI Clearance
7. Diploma and Transcript of Records should be authenticated by the Department of Education (DepEd) for High School Students and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for college students, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
8. Admittance letter from the chosen University in Taiwan
9. Medical Examination Clearance (Form B) (valid only for three months from date of issue) from any of the accredited Hospitals and Clinics .
10. Financial supporting documents of the applicant or parents with at least six months transaction.
11. 1. Applicants who will study in an English Lesson Program, he/she must
obtain Foreign Language Skills Certificate in English from any of the following:
(a.) Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
Internet-Based Test (IBT): a grade of 70% and above.
Paper-Based Test (PBT): a grade of 350 points and above.
(b.) International English Language Testing System (IELTS): a grade of 3.5 points and above.
(c.) Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC): a grade of 385 points and above.
11.2. Applicants who will study in a Chinese Lesson Program, he/she must obtain Foreign Language Skills Certificate in Chinese in either of the following:
(a.) Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL): a grade of level 2
(b.) He/She has graduated from Chinese school or any institution wherein Chinese language is extensively used in the course.
