The 29th TravelTour Expo (TTE) and the 7th International TravelTrade Expo (iTTE) of the Philippine Travel Agencies Association were held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on 24-26 June 2022.
Representative Peiyung Hsu of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines was invited to the opening ceremony on 24 June 2022. Throughout its program, he was glad to see that the Philippines’ tourism industry is all set to welcome back foreign tourists. He also expressed hope to see the further easing of Taiwan's border restrictions for more Filipinos to visit the awaited tourist destinations and explore a new Taiwan.
This year, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's Kuala Lumpur Office (TTBKL) attended the iTTE to foster B2B exchanges on tourism between Taiwan and Philippines in the post-pandemic era, following the 2-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Director Abe Chou of TTBKL stated that the event vividly showed the Philippine tourism industry and Filipinos' great interest in the latest travel packages to Taiwan and their strong desire for visiting Taiwan.
