GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLYING R.O.C. PASSPORT RENEWAL
- Fill up the application form completely and correctly then make one photocopy. If the applicant is a minor, additional documents stated below are required:
- Birth Certificate.
- Parent has to affix signature at the back of the application form.
- Present original and one photocopies of parent’s Taiwan ID, or parent’s passport.
- Household Registration Certificate issued within 3 months.
- Applicant’s original old passport with one photocopies.
- Residence document (such as: I-CARD, ICR,, SIRV or SRRV, Philippines Passport),original with one photocopies.
- Two identical passport size photos. Please note that composite photos and selfies are not permitted and that altered photos may make it difficult to gain clearance when using e-gates at airports, thereby causing delays and inconvenience when going through the immigration process. - Fee: P2,350.
- If the applicant reaches military age but has not yet fulfilled military service,he needs to submit certificate of school enrollment and official record of entry & exit to & from Taiwan.
- The applicant may be required to provide other relevant documents or personal appearance for interview.

- Filing Counter : Counter 8
- Filing Time: 8:45 to 11:45 am Monday to Friday except holidays
- Releasing Time : 1:45 to 4:45 pm Monday to Friday except holidays
- Processing: about 21 working days. The processing time will be extended in the event of holidays or supporting documents required by our office or Bureau of Consular Affairs.
- For “ Nationals Without Household Registration in Taiwan”(在臺無戶籍國人): Effective 1 January 2024, Nationals Without Household Registration in Taiwan may enter the country WITHOUT applying for “Lin Jen Entry/Exit Permit”(臨人字入國許可) from this office (Filling Counter : Counter 10) IF they hold a valid biometric passport issued by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and possess return or onward tickets to their next destination (by air or sea). This exemption does NOT apply to individuals prohibited from entry due to violation of regulations during the imposed period of restriction.
- It is advisable NOT to purchase outbound travel tickets until your passports are actually in your possession. This office will NOT be responsible for any rebooking charges, loss of income, and other financial compensation and/or personal losses arising from the applicant's travel arrangements made while the passport has not been released.
