2021 Scholarship Programs

Scholarship Purpose: To encourage talented young people to undertake degree programs in Taiwan and to promote knowledge, understanding and friendship of people in Sweden and Norway toward Taiwan.
Value and Duration:

) Bachelor’s program:
-Tuition and payment of academic fees: including course-credit fee and basic study-related fees) up to a maximum amount of NTD40, 000 each semester. Fees exceeding this amount need to be paid by the scholarship recipients themselves.
- Subsistence allowance: NTD15, 000/ monthly, up to four years.
) Master’s program:
- Tuition and payment of academic fees: same as above.
-Subsistence allowance: NTD20, 000/ monthly, up to two years.
) Doctorate program:
- Tuition and payment of academic fees: same as above.
-Subsistence allowance: NTD20, 000/ monthly, up to four years.

Application deadline: April 30, 2021
Qualification: Applicants must be a Swedish or Norwegian citizen, with an upper secondary school diploma or above.
The Taiwan Scholarship Program is provided by the Ministry of Education.

2. 2021 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship (HES)

Scholarship purpose: To encourage talented young people to undertake Mandarin languages course in Taiwan and to promote knowledge, understanding and friendship of people in Sweden and Norway toward Taiwan.
Value and duration: A monthly stipend of NTD25,000 over the course of 3, 6, 9 or 12 months during the period from september 1 , 2021 to August 31 ,2022. (Exchange Rate: 1 USD =30 NTD approx.)
Application deadline: April 30, 2021
Qualification: Applicants must be a Swedish or Norwegian citizen, above 18 years old, with an upper secondary school diploma or above.
The HES Program is provided by the Ministry of Education.
