Overview
We process applications for passports, visas and document authentication.
Notice September 5, 2022 From September 12th, 2022 Taiwan will reinstate visa exemption for nationals of the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and European countries. Swedish and Norwegian citizens are eligible for visa exemption for stays of up to 90 days. Please make sure that the passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have an outbound ticket available. For other information, please see our visa information. |

In order to reduce the risks of current Coronavirus pandemic, all consular applications will have to be booked by appointment from March 23, 2020 onwards.
For information or to schedule an appointment, please email swe.consular@mofa.gov.tw. An appointment will be required if you would like to visit our consular services counter for applications. The consular service is open Monday to Friday 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
You may also email swe.consular@mofa.gov.tw to confirm with us whether you may send us your application by post.
All the fees should be paid to our BG886-8812 account in advance (no cash accepted, for those residing outside of Sweden, please see our bank information here). Please make sure that the fee is paid and received by us one day before you submit the application.
If your application is not urgent, we recommend you to schedule the appointment after the pandemic is over.
If you have symptoms of cough, fever or cold, may we suggest that you schedule the appointment after these symptoms have disappeared.
Please be advised that starting from Monday, February 17, 2020, Taipei Mission in Sweden will NOT accept cash. All the fees should be paid to our BG886-8812 account. Please make sure that the fee is paid and received by us one day before you submit the application.
If you send your application via delivery service providers(eg. DHL, Fedex, etc.), please be noted that our office is open at 9:00, and our lunch hour is 12:00 to 1300. DO NOT request the delivery service providers to deliver your application before 9:00 or during 12:00 to 13:00. We do not shoulder responsibility for not being able to receive your application before 9:00 or during 12:00 to 13:00. Also, we can’t collect your application at the courier service point.
Special note: We issue visas to Taiwan only, for questions regarding visas or residence in Sweden or Norway please contact respective governmental agencies (Swedish or Norwegian Migration Board or consulate/embassy) for answers.
