Representative Francis Kuo-Hsin Liang graced the opening ceremony of the ROC 108th Double Tenth Woodball Invitation Championship and hosted its prize award dinner on 8 September 2019. Over 60 persons attended the dinner, including office bearers from the Overseas Community Affairs Council, the Taipei Business Association in Singapore, the Woodball Association of Singapore and the Farah Tennis Club, and officials from the Taipei Representative Office in Singapore.
In his address at the eighth edition of the Championship, Representative Francis Liang thanked the Taiwanese community in Singapore and the co-organizer, the Woodball Association of Singapore for their participation, generosity and support. The Woodball Championship – one of a series of events to commemorate the Double Tenth National Day – sees the Taiwanese compatriots coming together to celebrate and share their joy with friends in Singapore. Over the years, the Championship has been helping to reinforce camaraderie and friendship between Taiwanese and Singaporean players, mirroring the close and cooperative relations that have long characterized the ties between Taiwan and Singapore.
