2023 applications for Taiwan MOE Huayu Enrichment Scholarship now open

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Washington, D.C. (Jan.24, 2023) — Applications are now open for this year’s round of the Ministry of Education’s Huayu Enrichment Scholarship. The scholarship aims to help Mandarin Chinese learners of any level enhance their experience by studying at university-affiliated language centers in Taiwan.
Recipients will be awarded a monthly stipend of NTD 25,000 (approximately US$833). The scholarship will begin in June 2023 and can last anywhere between two and 12 months. American students above the age of 18 who possess at least a high school diploma are eligible to apply.
Applicants whose permanent residency is in Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia should send the completed scholarship application form and other required documents to the Education Division of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office by March 31, 2023.
