As of November of 2016, Taiwan’s investment in the United States has accumulated to a value of US$25.77 billion. The U.S. is the largest destination of Taiwan’s investments in foreign countries (excluded mainland China). U.S. investment in Taiwan has accumulated to a value of US$23.73 billion. The United States is the second-largest source of foreign investments in Taiwan (only behind the Netherlands).

Since 2013, the SelectUSA Investment Summit has facilitated over $23 billion in new investment in the United States, from U.S. and foreign firms. Approximately $4.1 billion of this investment comes from Taiwanese companies. At the March 2015 SelectUSA summit, Taiwan doubled down on its commitment to increase its investment in the United States by doubling the size of its delegation over the previous summit. At the 2016 SelectUSA summit, Taiwan has a 70-member delegation to visit Washington to join the event.
