Artist Taini Hsu’s debut solo photography exhibition “Sensational Mind/Sensacinal Mente” will be on display at Colourworks Photo Art Space in Wilmington, Delaware from March 3 to May 26, 2017.
A talented and versatile Taiwanese artist, Taini Hsu will share photos taken during her journey through Guatemala in 2015. Neither landscapes nor portraits, Hsu’s photography appears in both micro and macro perspectives, in a form that people may consider more painting than photography at first glance. Hsu took these pictures in various emotional states; all these images represent the colonial atmosphere, picturesque cityscapes and colorful blackstrap weaving of the Mayan heritage in Guatemala. Seventeen selections of Hsu’s images including “Antiqua”, “Encounter with Miro”, “Love” are displayed at this exhibition. In addition to the regular hours at Colourworks, the exhibition will be open from 5:30-8PM on the first Friday of the months of March, April and May as part of the “Art Loop Wilmington,” a free and self-guided public art event.
An opening reception will be held from 05:30-08:30PM on Friday, April 7th at Colourworks.
This exhibition is sponsored mainly by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Taiwan Academy of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States (TECRO) welcomes audiences to experience Taini Hsu’s unique art works.
