On August 8th, 2010, the National Taiwan University (NTU) Alumni Association in the Washington-Baltimore Area (NTUAA-DC) held a welcoming party for Dr. Ming-je Tang, Vice President of the NTU. Deputy Representative Ta-tung Jacob Chang and Director Hsin-hsiung Chang of the Science and Technology Division from TECRO both attended the party as alumni.
Vice President Tang briefed the recent developments at the NTU, such as the development of the NTU Cancer Research Center , the NTU Development Foundation, campus construction, academic exchange with Chinese mainland, the admission of foreign and mainland students, and cooperation with other industries. Alumni asked questions about the development of software and hardware at the NTU, the quality of the students, and the hiring of professors. They also offered many suggestions on how to enhance the reputation of the university as a prestigious school internationally.
