Director General Paul Wang of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Guam hosts the Reception of celebrating the 100th National Day of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Ball Room of Hyatt Hotel on October 7, 2011.
Those who attend the reception are Governor of Guam Eddie Calvo, Acting Speaker of Guam Legislature Benjamin Cruz and the other nine senators including Senator Thomas Ada、Senator Mana Taijeron、Senator Frank Blas, Jr.、Senator Christopher Duenas、Senator Vicente Pangelinan、Senator Sam Mabini、Senator Anthony Ada、Senator Rory Respicio and Senator Dennis Rodriguez, Jr., Chief Justice of the Guam Supreme Court Philip Carbullido, Guam Attorney General Lenny Rapadas and overseas Chinese (Taiwanese) on Guam totaling about 450 people.
Governor Calvo makes a congratulations remark and proclaims the period from October 9 to October 15, 2011 to be the Week of the 100th National Day of Republic of China
Acting Speaker Benjamin Cruz, on behalf of the 31st Guam Legislature, presents Director General Wang the Resolution No. 206-31 relative to congratulating the Republic of China (Taiwan) on the occasion of the One Hundredth (100th) “Double-Tenth National Day” and to commending the Chinese Community of Guam for their invaluable contributions to Guam, and for their efforts to fostering a closer relationship to the people of Guam.
