- This office accepts cash, money order and cashier check (payable to TECO in Guam ). Personal checks will not be accepted.
- It takes one working day to process the application, if all the requirements are met
- If the application is done by mail, please send a postage-paid return envelope
- This office will not be liable for any lost or delay by mail.
- Visitor Visas
2.1 Eligible Persons : Foreign nationals, who hold ordinary passports or other legal travel documents and who intend to stay in the Republic of China for less than six months for the purpose of transit, tourism, visiting relatives, attending a training course, receiving medical treatment or engaging in business or other permissible activities
2.2 Requirements
- A passport valid for at least six months;
- A duly completed application form with two photos (2'X1'8”)
- A returned/onward airline ticket, or a copy of itinerary.
- Documents verifying the purpose of visit such as invitation letter; and
- Other relevant documents, if any.
2.3 Fee
- Visa application fee: US$50/single entry; US$100/multiple entries . (US$160 for US citizens)
- It takes one business day to process the application, if all the requirements are met. Expediting fee: US$25/single entry ; US$50/multiple entries . Expediting fee for US passport holders: US$50.
- Cash, cashier check, money order only (payable to TECO in Guam). Personal checks will not be accepted.
Remarks : Visitor Visa holders who are permitted to stay in Taiwan for sixty or ninety days and whose visas bear no such remark as "no extension will be granted" may apply for extensions to the nearest city/county national immigrations offices .
3.Visa-Exempt Entry and Landing Visa
3.1Visa-Exempt Entry

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, U.K., U.S.A. and Vatican City State (30 days for Australia, Malaysia, Singapore passport holder)
.Requirements:
(1) a passport valid for at least six months
(2) a confirmed return/onward air ticket , and a confirmed seat reservation for departure.
(3) no criminal record.

.Duration of stay:
90 days ( from the next day of arrival and is not extendable )
30 days (for Australia, Malaysia, Singapore passport holder)
.Ports of entry:
C.K.S. International Airport , Kaohsiung International Airport , Keelung Harbor , Hualien Harbor , Taichung Harbor and Kaohsiung Harbor .
Attention: If the validity of your passport is less than six months , you may apply for a visa to our office ( fee: US$ 160 ) before the trip.
4. Resident Visas
Eligible Persons | Foreign nationals, who hold ordinary passports or other legal travel documents, who intend to stay in the Republic of China for more than six months for the purpose of joining family, pursuing studies, accepting employment, making investments, doing missionary work, or engaging in other permissible activities. |

Duration of stay | Resident Visa holders are required to apply for an Alien Resident Certificate at the city/county police headquarters nearest to their residence in the ROC within 15 days after their arrival. They may stay in the ROC as long as the Alien Resident Certificate remains valid. |

Remarks | *If foreign nationals who have entered the ROC with Visitor Visas are subsequently legally employed in the ROC, they may make the necessary change from their Visitor Visa into a Resident Visa in this country directly. The above regulations do not apply to blue collar workers or those who enter the ROC via the visa exemption program. |
