In 2021, First Commercial Bank(FCB) and Taiwan Cooperative Bank (TCB) opened branches in Houston, which were the first foreign banks to invest in Texas in more than a decade. Despite the COVID-19 epidemic in the past 2 years, the two Taiwanese banks have provided professional financial services to facilitate Taiwanese companies to explore business opportunities in the South USA market.
TECO Houston Director General Yvonne Hsiao and Economic Director Bochia Ni visited General Manager Ben Wu of FCB Houston Branch as well as General Manger Wen-Ching Wang of TCB Houston Branch respectively on July 21 2023. They exchanged points of views with bank colleagues on Texas economic development and the banking regulatory compliance broadly.
TECO Houston will continue to work with FCB and TCB to jointly support Taiwanese companies to doing business in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
