Accepting the Application for the Digital Nomad Visa

Starting from January 1, 2025, nationals from visa-exempt countries (including Thailand, the Philippines, and Brunei) will be eligible to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa.

Eligibility: This visa is available to individuals from visa-exempt countries who enter or stay in Taiwan for remote digital work. Applicants must not be employed by the Taiwanese company and must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  1. Proof of having previously obtained a digital nomad visa from another country.
  2. Be at least 30 years old with an annual income of at least USD 40,000 in one of the past two years.
  3. Be between 20 and 30 years old with an annual income of at least USD 20,000 in one of the past two years.
