DG Chou Meets with JAX USA and UF Leaders to Discuss Florida Semiconductor Institute.

On May 19, Director General Chou met with John Freeman, Senior Director at JAX USA Partnership, and Dr. Kurt Dudas, Associate Dean at the University of Florida (UF), who is leading the planning for the new Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI).
Dr. Dudas introduced the initial vision for setting up FSI in Jacksonville. The meeting also provided a valuable opportunity to exchange views on strengthening Taiwan–U.S. economic cooperation and exploring ways to build a platform for academic exchange between UF and Taiwan’s semiconductor programs.
Both sides expressed interest in promoting collaboration between Taiwan and Florida in higher education and industry-academia partnerships.
