DG Chou Attends 2025 Asian Pacific American Heritage Celebration in Jacksonville

Director General Chou was honored to attend the 2025 Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration on May 19 at the Jacksonville Public Library, at the invitation of Mayor Deegan. The event featured a vibrant showcase of traditional cuisine and cultural performances from across the Asia-Pacific region, drawing over 400 guests and creating a warm and festive atmosphere.
In his remarks, Director Chou highlighted the contributions of Taiwanese immigrants to Jacksonville and emphasized the importance of diversity within the AAPI community in driving progress and development for the city.
He also took the opportunity to warmly engage with overseas Taiwanese community leaders in North Florida, and on behalf of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), presented a certificate of congratulations to Mr. Shang-Chih Lee (李上智) for his election as the new President of the Jacksonville Chinese Association. He also delivered certificates of appreciation to outgoing president Chia-Hung Tsai (蔡嘉宏) and community leader Hsiu-Tuan Huang (黃秀緞) for their dedicated service to the local overseas community.
