Director General Chou, together with Director Yu, recently visited Dr. David Norton, Vice President of the University of Florida (UF), and Dr. David Arnold, Director of the Florida Semiconductor Institute (FSI), to promote potential sister school partnerships between UF and top Taiwanese universities specializing in semiconductor research.
UF is Florida’s leading public research university, with outstanding achievements in semiconductors, aerospace, biotechnology, and smart agriculture. In 2023, the university's research expenditures reached $1.25 billion USD.
FSI was established in 2023, funded by Nvidia co-founder and UF alumnus Chris Malachowsky. It aims to boost Florida’s semiconductor R&D capacity and talent pipeline, positioning the state as a major hub for semiconductor innovation in the U.S.
