'Life of Pi' scores two MTV Movie Award nominations

Los Angeles, March 5 (CNA) The full list of this year's nominees for the 2013 MTV Movie Awards were announced on Tuesday, with Taiwan-born director Ang Lee's visually stunning 3D adventure epic "Life of Pi" nominated in two categories.
"Life of Pi" lead star Suraj Sharma is up for "Breakthrough Performance" and "Best Scared-as-Shit Performance" at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards ceremony slated to be held April 14 in Los Angeles.
According to the list, "Django Unchained" and "Ted" lead the pack withseven nominations each, followed by Jennifer Lawrence's "The Silver Linings Playbook," which landed six.
In addition to Sharma, Ezra Miller for "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," Eddie Redmayne for "Les Miserables," Quvenzhané Wallis for "Beasts of the Southern Wild" and Rebel Wilson for "Pitch Perfect" have also been nominated in the "Breakthrough Performance" category.
Sharma is also up against several other nominees for "Best Scared-As-Shit Performance," including Jessica Chastain for "Zero Dark Thirty," Alexandra Daddario for "Texas Chainsaw 3D," Martin Freeman for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and Jennifer Lawrence for "House at the End of the Street."
